A sequence is shown: X=14, Y=7, Z=X-Y. What is Z?
Answer: 7
Z = X - Y = 14 - 7 = 7.
You are told A=9, B=3, C=A÷B. What is C?
Answer: 3
C = A ÷ B = 9 ÷ 3 = 3.
Given P=5, Q=4, R=P×Q, what is R+1?
Answer: 21
R = 5 × 4 = 20, then R + 1 = 21.
If M=18 and N=M÷6, what is N×3?
Answer: 9
N = 18 ÷ 6 = 3, then N × 3 = 9.
Variables given: J=11, K=4. Equation: L=(J+K)×2. What is L?
Answer: 30
J + K = 15, then 15 × 2 = 30.
You memorize: F=100, G=25, H=F-G×3. What is H?
Answer: 25
G × 3 = 75, then H = 100 - 75 = 25.
Given T=8, U=T+T, V=U-T. What is V?
Answer: 8
U = 8 + 8 = 16, then V = 16 - 8 = 8.
