ATA Certification Exam
The ATA Certification Exam is a performance-based assessment administered by the American Translators Association. Candidates translate two passages of approximately 250 words each within three hours. Graders assess error points by severity; a passage with 18 or more error points fails. The overall pass rate is below 20%.
