    Answer: 30

    Net rate = 1/10 − 1/15 = 1/30, so the tank fills in 30 hours.

    Answer: 48 ft

    Side = √144 = 12 ft; perimeter = 4 × 12 = 48 ft.

  3. A car depreciates by 10% every year. If its current value is $18,000, what will it be worth after 2 years?

    Answer: $14,580

    Value after 2 years = 18000 × (0.9)² = 18000 × 0.81 = $14,580.

    Answer: 36

    LCM(12, 18) = 36 since 36 is the smallest number divisible by both 12 and 18.
