The AMCA (American Medical Certification Association) Medical Assistant Certification Exam validates the competency of medical assistants in both clinical and administrative domains. The exam covers medical knowledge, clinical procedures, patient documentation, anatomy basics, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, medical terminology, infection prevention, emergency protocols, administrative skills, regulations and compliance, and professionalism and ethics. AMCA certifications include the CMAC (Certified Medical Administrative Coder) and NCMA (National Certified Medical Assistant).
