  1. What is Isolation Mode in the Layers panel and how do you enter it?

    Answer: Double-clicking a group or sublayer in the canvas enters a mode where only that group's contents are editable, dimming everything else

    Double-clicking a group, compound path, or sublayer enters Isolation Mode, which restricts editing to just that group's contents while dimming and locking everything else.
