Special Purpose Examination (SPEX)

The SPEX is a computerized multiple-choice examination administered by the FSMB that assesses the current medical knowledge of physicians seeking re-licensure or license reinstatement. It evaluates competency in general, undifferentiated medical practice across disease categories and physician tasks organized by general principles and organ systems.
