SIE — The Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam is administered by FINRA and consists of 75 scored questions (plus 10 unscored pilot questions) to be completed in 105 minutes, with a passing score of 70%; it covers four content areas weighted as follows: Knowledge of Capital Markets (16%), Understanding Products and Their Risks (44%), Understanding Trading, Customer Accounts and Prohibited Activities (31%), and Overview of the Regulatory Framework (9%).
