A line segment has endpoints at (2, 3) and (8, 11). What are the coordinates of its midpoint?
Answer: (5, 7)
The midpoint is ((2+8)/2, (3+11)/2) = (5, 7).
What is the distance between the points (0, 0) and (6, 8)?
Answer: 10
Distance = √(6² + 8²) = √100 = 10.
In a circle, an inscribed angle subtends an arc of 80°. What is the measure of the inscribed angle?
Answer: 40°
An inscribed angle equals half of its intercepted arc, so 80° ÷ 2 = 40°.
A cylinder has a radius of 3 and a height of 10. What is its volume? (Use π ≈ 3.14)
Answer: 282.6
Volume = πr²h = 3.14 × 9 × 10 = 282.6.
Two parallel lines are cut by a transversal. If one alternate interior angle is 65°, what is the other alternate interior angle?
Answer: 65°
Alternate interior angles are congruent when lines are parallel.
What is the equation of a line with slope 2 passing through the point (0, 3)?
Answer: y = 2x + 3
Using slope-intercept form y = mx + b with m = 2 and b = 3 gives y = 2x + 3.
An equilateral triangle has all sides equal to 6. What is its perimeter?
Answer: 18
Perimeter = 3 × 6 = 18.
