    Answer: 48

    0.15 × 320 = 48.

    c² = 9² + 12² = 81 + 144 = 225; c = 15.

  6. What is the value of |−18| + |5|?

    Answer: 23

    Absolute values are always non-negative: 18 + 5 = 23.

  7. A number is increased by 25% and the result is 100. What was the original number?

    Answer: 80

    1.25 × n = 100; n = 100 / 1.25 = 80.
