The NNAAP (National Nurse Aide Assessment Program) is administered by Pearson VUE on behalf of state nursing boards to certify nurse aides. The exam consists of a written (or oral) knowledge test and a skills evaluation covering personal care, mental health and social needs, safety and emergency procedures, vital signs, communication, nutrition and hydration, body mechanics, restorative care, and documentation.
