NMMS — The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) exam is a centrally sponsored scheme conducted by State Education Boards under India's Ministry of Education, targeting Class 8 students from government/aided schools with family income below ₹3.5 lakh per annum. The real exam has two parts: MAT (Mental Ability Test, 90 questions, 90 min) and SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test, 90 questions, 90 min), with a minimum qualifying score of 40% (35% for SC/ST).
