    Distribute: 10x − 15 + 4x = 14x − 15.

  4. A recipe calls for 2¾ cups of flour. If you want to make 1½ times the recipe, how many cups of flour do you need?

    Answer: 4 1/8 cups

    2¾ × 1½ = 11/4 × 3/2 = 33/8 = 4 1/8 cups.
