    Answer: 360 degrees

NEC 358.26 limits bends between pull points to the equivalent of four quarter bends, or 360 degrees total.

  2. EMT must be securely fastened within what distance of each outlet box, junction box, or conduit termination?

    Answer: 3 feet

NEC 358.30(A) requires EMT to be fastened within 3 ft of each box or termination and at least every 10 ft.

    Answer: 12 inches

NEC 334.30 requires NM cable to be secured within 12 in of each box or fitting and at intervals not exceeding 4.5 ft.

  4. When NM cable enters a single-gang nonmetallic box that has no cable clamps, within what distance of the box must the cable be secured?

    Answer: 8 inches

Article 314 allows a single-gang nonmetallic box without clamps only when the cable is secured within 8 in of the box.

  5. Per Table 300.5, what is the minimum cover for Type UF cable buried directly in the earth with no other protection, under general conditions?

    Answer: 24 inches

  6. What is the minimum bending radius for Type NM cable?

Answer: 5 times the cable diameter

NEC 334.24 requires that bends in NM cable have a radius of at least five times the cable's diameter.

  7. At each outlet box, at least how much free conductor must extend from the point where the conductor emerges from its raceway or cable sheath?
