NCIDQ Requirements

The NCIDQ exam is a rigorous test of an interior designer’s knowledge, skills and expertise. The exam consists of three parts: the Interior Design Fundamentals (IDFX), the Interior Design Professionals Exam (IDPX) and the Practicum. Those who pass all three sections are considered NCIDQ certified. NCIDQ certification is the globally recognized standard for interior designers. It is required for licensure in some jurisdictions, and it is the highest credential a designer can earn.
