MTEL General Curriculum VIP Practice Exam

MTEL — The MTEL General Curriculum exam (Tests 05 and 06) is administered by Pearson/Evaluation Systems on behalf of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE); it consists of two separately scored subtests — Multi-Subject (100 multiple-choice + 2 open-response items, 4 hours) and Mathematics (55 multiple-choice + 1 open-response, 4 hours) — and requires a scaled score of 240 out of 300 to pass each subtest, serving as a licensure requirement for elementary educators in grades 1–6 in Massachusetts.
