KY Notary — Kentucky requires all new notary applicants to complete a state-approved 3-hour education course and pass a proctored exam (80% passing score) administered by approved providers, pursuant to the Kentucky Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts (KRS Chapter 423), which took effect January 1, 2020, with commissions issued by the Kentucky Secretary of State.
