ITI — The Diploma in Translation (DipTrans) is the professional translation qualification awarded by the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), widely recognised by ITI (Institute of Translation and Interpreting) members as a benchmark credential; the exam consists of unseen translation papers in chosen specialisms (General, Commerce/Legal/Financial, Science/Technology, Social Sciences) with a pass mark of approximately 60–70% per unit.
