PADI IDC Certified Instructor Development Course Trainer VIP Exam
IDC — This exam mirrors the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and Instructor Examination (IE), administered by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors). The IE consists of five written knowledge development sections (Physics, Physiology, Skills & Environment, Open Water Diver Standards, General Standards & Procedures), each requiring a 75% passing score, plus pool/confined water and open water presentation scenarios. This practice set focuses on the written and scenario-theory components most heavily tested on the IE and evaluated during IDC training.

Question 1 of 55👑 VIP
During an IDC, a divemaster candidate is reviewing Boyle's Law to prepare for the Physics section of the Instructor Examination. They ask you to explain how pressure affects air volume during descent. A diver begins at the surface with a full breath of 6 liters of air at 1 ATA and descends to 30 meters (99 feet) in seawater. Approximately what volume will that same air occupy at depth, assuming constant temperature?
