IA Notary — Iowa notary applicants must pass a knowledge exam embedded in a state-approved 3-hour education course, administered by providers authorized by the Iowa Secretary of State under Iowa Code Chapter 9B (Iowa Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts, effective January 1, 2022); passing the course exam is required before a commission is granted.
