    Answer: 12

    12 × 12 = 144, so √144 = 12.

    Answer: 60%

    3/5 = 0.6 = 60%. Divide the numerator by the denominator and multiply by 100.

  5. If the ratio of boys to girls in a class is 3:5 and there are 24 students total, how many girls are there?

    Total parts = 3 + 5 = 8. Each part = 24/8 = 3. Girls = 5 × 3 = 15.
