GIA — This exam mirrors the GIA Graduate Diamonds (GD) distance education program assessments issued by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), which cover the 4Cs of diamond grading (color D–Z, clarity FL–I3, cut, and carat weight), diamond anatomy, treatments, synthetics, fancy colored diamonds, and fluorescence. GIA does not publish a single unified pass mark publicly, but 75% is the widely reported passing threshold for GIA course examinations.
