Which quadrilateral has all sides equal AND all angles equal?
Answer: Square
Only a square has four equal sides and four equal (right) angles.
The diagonals of a square do all of the following EXCEPT:
Answer: Have different lengths
A square's diagonals are equal, so they cannot have different lengths.
One angle of a parallelogram is 65°. What is the measure of its adjacent angle?
Answer: 115°
Adjacent angles are supplementary, so 180° − 65° = 115°.
A kite has diagonals of 12 cm and 16 cm. What is its area?
Answer: 96 cm²
Area of a kite = ½ × d₁ × d₂ = ½ × 12 × 16 = 96 cm².
Which of these is always a cyclic quadrilateral (can be inscribed in a circle)?
Answer: A rectangle
A rectangle is always cyclic because its opposite angles each sum to 180°.
How many lines of symmetry does a square have?
Answer: 4
A square has four lines of symmetry: two through opposite sides and two along the diagonals.
If the perimeter of a rectangle is 30 cm and its length is 9 cm, what is its width?
Answer: 6 cm
Perimeter = 2(l+w), so 30 = 2(9+w), giving w = 6 cm.
