What is the distance between the points (1, 2) and (4, 6)?
Answer: 5
Distance = √((4−1)² + (6−2)²) = √(9 + 16) = 5.
What is the midpoint of the segment from (2, 4) to (8, 10)?
Answer: (5, 7)
Midpoint = ((2+8)/2, (4+10)/2) = (5, 7).
What is the measure of each interior angle of a regular hexagon?
Answer: 120
Each angle = (6−2)180/6 = 720/6 = 120.
What is the area of a sector with a central angle of 90° in a circle of radius 4? (use π ≈ 3.14)
Answer: 12.56
A 90° sector is ¼ of the circle: ¼(3.14)(16) = 12.56.
What is the surface area of a cube with edge length 3?
Answer: 54
Surface area = 6s² = 6(9) = 54.
What is the slope of the line through (2, 3) and (6, 11)?
Answer: 2
Slope = (11 − 3)/(6 − 2) = 8/4 = 2.
What is the length of an arc subtending 60° in a circle of radius 6? (use π ≈ 3.14)
Answer: 6.28
Arc = (60/360)(2π·6) = (1/6)(37.68) = 6.28.
