How to Emboss Text Fusion 360

• Begin by drawing your solid.
  • Add the embossed text to your solid by selecting a planar face and selecting the text command from the Sketch panel dropdown menu.
• Change the Patch workspace.
  • Select the Extrude command from the Create panel's dropdown menu. This operates like the Extrude command, which you've most likely used in the Model workspace. The Extrude command in the Patch workspace creates a surface body rather than a solid body.
• Choose the profile you wish to extrude as the text you produced.
  • For the extrude distance, you can either use the arrow to alter the distance or select All from the Extents heading in the dialog box.
• Use the newly produced surface bodies to split the part's face.

  • Choose each of the text's faces as your offset faces. Enter the value you want to extrude these faces at. You can extend the faces by inputting a positive value or cut them by entering a negative value. When you click OK, you should see your embossed text.
