Pardot Specialist - Salesforce Pardot Specialist Certification retake policy — how long do you have to wait?

Does anyone know the official retake policy for Pardot Specialist - Salesforce Pardot Specialist Certification?

I'm asking because I have a work deadline coming up and I want to know if I should rush into my first attempt or wait until I'm more confident. If I can retake quickly I might just take it now and use it as a diagnostic.

Also — does failing show up anywhere official? Like on a transcript or employer-facing record?

The retake policy varies by state/certifying body. I had to wait 30 days. Check the official candidate handbook — it should spell it out.
