Anyone else studying for Citrix in the next month? Want to study together
Taking my Citrix - Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Certification exam in 4 weeks and trying to find people at a similar stage to keep each other accountable.
I study better when I have someone to compare notes with. Currently going through "Citrix" and working on my weak areas — specifically around Citrix exam.
My schedule: 90 min of focused study every weekday, full practice test on weekends. I review every wrong answer and try to understand the why, not just memorize the right option.
If you're in a similar prep window and want to:
- Compare practice test scores weekly
- Share resources that actually helped
- Talk through confusing questions
Reply here or message me. Doesn't have to be formal — even just checking in once a week helps me stay on track.
Where is everyone at in their prep?
Worth mentioning: the free citrix desktops architecture design covers exactly the areas people tend to struggle with most.
Went through this exact question when I was prepping. The Citrix material on "Citrix" is actually not as bad as it looks — once it clicks it clicks.
What helped me was finding one resource that explained it from first principles instead of just giving me the "right answer." Made a huge difference on the scenario-based questions.
Also: don't underestimate the importance of reviewing your wrong answers more than your right ones. I learned more from 20 wrong answers than 200 correct ones.
Coming back to this thread — just passed my Citrix yesterday. Everything about the citrix practice test section is accurate. For anyone still studying, the free citrix desktops troubleshooting support was the closest thing to the real exam I found.
Quick update: just cleared 86% on my most recent Citrix practice set using free citrix desktops troubleshooting support. Sitting for the real thing in 2 weeks. Feeling cautiously optimistic.
Great discussion. One thing nobody mentions: sleep the night before matters more than one more study session. Went in fully rested for my Citrix and felt sharper than expected.
Failed it the first time back in March and honestly it was a wake-up call. I'd been focusing way too much on the high-level architecture stuff and completely underestimated how deep they go on policy configuration and session management. Second attempt I shifted almost all my time to hands-on lab practice instead of just reading through the docs, and that made a huge difference.
If you're around four weeks out you've still got good time. The thing that helped me most was doing practice questions after every single topic, not just at the end. It's annoying but it forces you to actually retain stuff instead of thinking you understand it when you don't. Good luck, feel free to compare notes if you want accountability.
