Anyone else studying for IREAD in the next month? Want to study together

Taking my (IREAD) Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination exam in 5 weeks and trying to find people at a similar stage to keep each other accountable.

I study better when I have someone to compare notes with. Currently going through "IREAD" and working on my weak areas — specifically around IREAD exam.

My schedule: 90 min of focused study every weekday, full practice test on weekends. I review every wrong answer and try to understand the why, not just memorize the right option.

If you're in a similar prep window and want to:
- Compare practice test scores weekly
- Share resources that actually helped
- Talk through confusing questions

Reply here or message me. Doesn't have to be formal — even just checking in once a week helps me stay on track.

Where is everyone at in their prep?

The free iread purpose helped me understand what the exam actually tests rather than just what the material covers.

For what it's worth from someone who's been through it:

The IREAD is one of those exams where the practice tests really do prepare you well. The style of questioning is pretty consistent. If you're comfortable with "IREAD" material under timed conditions, you'll be fine.

The one thing I'd add: read the question stems very carefully. They sometimes add a qualifier that completely changes the right answer and it's easy to miss when you're going fast.

Also check whether you need to schedule the exam in advance — some testing centers book up 2-3 weeks out.

Same boat a few months ago. Here's what I'd tell myself:

The IREAD exam is more application-focused than the study guides suggest. They test whether you understand IREAD, not just whether you can define it.

My tip: when you see a scenario question, mentally walk through it step by step before looking at the answers. The wrong answers are designed to catch people who jump to conclusions.

Good luck — the fact that you're doing this level of prep means you're going to be fine.

Quick update: just cleared 83% on my most recent IREAD practice set using free iread impact and outcomes. Sitting for the real thing in 4 weeks. Feeling cautiously optimistic.

The advice about understanding why wrong answers are wrong — not just memorizing right ones — is genuinely the best IREAD advice in this thread. Rebuilt my prep around that and it made a real difference.
