Preparing for the PSA (Physical Security Assessor) certification through ASIS. I've been in physical security for 9 years — corporate, some government contract work. The PSA content domains look familiar but the formal framework language is different from how I think about security assessment day-to-day.

Is the PSA significantly harder than the CPP? I held my CPP for 4 years. The content focus seems more specialized but the CPP breadth was brutal.

The risk assessment framework terminology and the systematic methodology sections are where most CPP holders have gaps going into PSA. The exam expects you to know the formal process steps in sequence, not just the general concept.

ASIS has PSA-specific study materials that are worth the cost. The practice questions are more representative than any third-party prep I've found.

PSA is narrower in breadth than CPP but deeper in the physical security assessment methodology specifically. If you hold CPP, the PSA should feel more manageable — you're not covering 8 domains, just drilling deep on assessment.
