POSSE Foundation test prep — any tips for low-income first-gen applicants?

I'm a junior in high school applying to the POSSE scholarship this fall. I've gotten through the first campus interview round at one of the schools. The next stage includes a POSSE Dynamic Assessment — my school counselor said it's not something you can really study for, but that doesn't feel right. There has to be something I can do to prepare.

Anyone who went through POSSE willing to share what the assessment actually involves?

The Dynamic Assessment is designed to observe how you interact with others and handle group problem-solving — not to test knowledge. What helps is practice with group discussions and being intentional about listening as much as talking. Don't try to dominate.

POSSE is specifically looking for leadership potential AND collaborative instincts. They want to see you lift others up in group settings, not just perform individually. Being genuinely curious about what others say matters a lot.

Going in rested and emotionally present is real prep for this. It's hard to show collaborative leadership when you're exhausted or anxious. Take care of yourself the night before.
