Finally passed Oracle APEX certification after two attempts — here's what worked
So I just got my Oracle APEX certification results this morning and I actually passed with a 78%. Honestly didn't think I'd make it after failing my first attempt back in March by 4 points. That first time I just read through the official docs and figured that'd be enough — huge mistake. The exam hit me with way more scenario-based questions about application building, page designer workflows, and REST data sources than I expected.
What turned things around for me was actually using an Oracle APEX practice test to identify my weak spots. I was bombing plug-ins and dynamic actions questions consistently. Once I found that pattern, I could focus my study guide notes on those specific areas instead of reviewing stuff I already knew. Took me about 6 weeks of focused prep, maybe 45 minutes a day.
Curious if anyone else here is studying for this right now and what areas are tripping you up? Happy to share my exam tips or compare notes on the trickier topics.
