Finally passed the Nevada Bar after three attempts — what actually worked for me

I just got my results last week and I'm still kind of in shock. Third time's the charm, I guess. My first two attempts I was scoring around 260-265 on the MBE portion, which just wasn't cutting it. I kept buying different prep materials but honestly I think I was spreading myself too thin instead of drilling the weak spots.

What finally clicked was being brutally honest about where my gaps were. I pulled up every NV BAR practice test I could find and tracked my wrong answers by subject. Torts and Real Property were killing me — once I figured that out I spent three solid weeks on nothing else. I was putting in about 5-6 hours a day for the last two months, which I know isn't sustainable long-term but it got me there.

For anyone currently studying, do you actually go through a formal study guide start to finish, or do you just target weak areas? I'm curious what worked for others because the advice I got from people was all over the place.

Congrats, seriously — three attempts takes real guts to keep pushing. I passed last February and the thing that helped me most was a structured study guide that broke down each MBE subject week by week. Winging it wasn't working for me either. The essays were actually what bumped my score; I started timing myself strictly and that changed everything. What was your final MBE score if you don't mind sharing?

This is almost exactly my situation right now, sitting for Nevada in July and I'm terrified. My practice scores are hovering around 268 and I can't figure out if that's close enough or if I need to completely change my approach. Did you find the actual exam harder or easier than the practice material you were using? I keep hearing the real thing feels totally different and that's messing with my head honestly.

Real Property and Torts got me too on my first attempt. One exam tip that helped: don't just review why you got something wrong, also review why you got it right — sometimes you're guessing correctly and that can hide a real gap. Good luck to everyone still grinding through it.
