Struggling with NSA exam on NSA practice tests — any tips?

For what it's worth from someone who's been through it:

The NSA is one of those exams where the practice tests really do prepare you well. The style of questioning is pretty consistent. If you're comfortable with "NSA" material under timed conditions, you'll be fine.

The one thing I'd add: read the question stems very carefully. They sometimes add a qualifier that completely changes the right answer and it's easy to miss when you're going fast.

Also check whether you need to schedule the exam in advance — some testing centers book up 2-3 weeks out.

Failed my first attempt, came back to this thread for motivation. The advice about really understanding why wrong answers are wrong — not just memorizing the right ones — is the single best piece of advice I've seen for the NSA. Quick update since I posted last week -- finally broke through a bit. Got a 74 on my last NSA practice set which isn't amazing but it's the first time I've cracked 70, so I'll take it. What helped me was honestly just forcing myself to slow down on scenario questions and ask "what's actually being tested here" before I read the answer choices.
