New mexico notary question I keep getting wrong on NM Notary practice tests
There's a category of question on my (NM Notary) New Mexico Notary Exam practice tests that I'm consistently missing and I can't figure out what I'm misunderstanding.
The questions are about new mexico notary. Here's the type of question that trips me up: they give me a scenario and ask what the right action is, and I usually narrow it down to 2 answers — then pick the wrong one.
I think my issue is I'm applying the general rule but not accounting for the exception. Can anyone point me to a good explanation of when the standard rule doesn't apply for new mexico notary?
I've looked at "las cruces notary" study materials but they explain the concept at the surface level. I need the deeper "why" behind it.
Any specific resources, videos, or even just a plain English explanation would be genuinely helpful. Exam is in 4 weeks.

What helped me most with how to become a notary public in new mexico specifically: stop thinking about it as a topic to memorize and start thinking about the types of decisions it's asking you to make. Once I shifted to that frame, my NM Notary scores in that section jumped about 14 points within a week.
Failed first attempt, came back to this thread. The consensus on nm notary practice test being the make-or-break area is right. Focusing almost exclusively on applied questions this time around.

Failed my first attempt, came back to this thread for motivation. The advice about really understanding why wrong answers are wrong — not just memorizing the right ones — is the single best piece of advice I've seen for the NM Notary. Rebuilding my prep around that principle now. Using las cruces notary for the concept review.
