So I took the NCS exam last month and got a 71, which is just below the passing score. I'm honestly frustrated because I felt like I studied pretty hard — went through the NCMA study guide twice and watched a bunch of YouTube videos. But the contract management scenario questions completely threw me off. I didn't expect so many situational ones.
I'm retaking in about six weeks and I'm trying to rebuild my study plan from scratch. Someone in a LinkedIn group mentioned using an NCS practice test to drill the weaker areas, and I think that's probably where I went wrong the first time — I read a lot but never really tested myself under timed conditions.
For anyone who's passed: how many hours total did you put in, and what did your last two weeks look like? Did any specific study guide or resource make a difference? Also curious if the exam tips you'd seen online actually matched what you saw on test day. Any help appreciated — I really need to pass this one.
