Okay so I've been lurking here for a while and figured I should give back since this community helped me so much. I passed the MRP exam last Thursday on my second try — first attempt I scored a 68 and needed a 70, which honestly felt devastating after two months of prep. The difference the second time was actually using a decent MRP practice test rather than just rereading the APICS textbook over and over.
My biggest mistake the first time was treating this like a memorization test. It's not. The questions are situational and they'll give you two answers that both sound right. What helped was working through scenario-based questions daily and forcing myself to understand WHY the wrong answers are wrong, not just flagging the right ones. I probably did 400+ practice questions in the six weeks before my second attempt.
If you're just starting out, find a solid MRP study guide that covers master scheduling and capacity requirements planning in depth — those sections were heavier on my exam than I expected. Happy to answer any specific questions about the process.
