So I just got my results back and I passed! Honestly didn't think I'd be writing this post after failing the first time back in February. My first attempt I went in way underprepared — I'd read through the material once and figured that was enough. Big mistake. Scored a 67 when I needed a 75 to pass.
What changed the second time around was actually drilling with a solid M ED practice test every single day for the last three weeks. That repetition built pattern recognition I didn't have before, especially for the curriculum design and assessment sections which wrecked me the first time. I also found a decent study guide that broke down the competency areas in plain language instead of the dense textbook format.
My timeline: about 6 weeks of serious study, roughly 90 minutes a night on weekdays, longer on weekends. If you're just starting out, I'd say don't underestimate the instructional theory questions — that section is heavier than it looks on the official blueprint.
