Anyone else studying for FDLE in the next month? Want to study together
Taking my FDLE - Florida Department of Law Enforcement exam in 7 weeks and trying to find people at a similar stage to keep each other accountable.
I study better when I have someone to compare notes with. Currently going through "FDLE" and working on my weak areas — specifically around FDLE exam.
My schedule: 90 min of focused study every weekday, full practice test on weekends. I review every wrong answer and try to understand the why, not just memorize the right option.
If you're in a similar prep window and want to:
- Compare practice test scores weekly
- Share resources that actually helped
- Talk through confusing questions
Reply here or message me. Doesn't have to be formal — even just checking in once a week helps me stay on track.
Where is everyone at in their prep?
If you're looking for a starting point, the free florida department of law enforcement is worth trying — the questions closely match what you'll see on test day.
Coming back to this thread because I just passed my FDLE yesterday. Everything people said about the fdle training section is spot on — that was the hardest part for me too. For anyone still studying, don't skip the applied questions in the fdle - florida department of law enforcement evidence and property management questions and answers. They're the closest to what you'll actually see.
Appreciate everyone sharing their experience here. I'm 5 weeks out from my FDLE exam date and feeling more confident after reading this. The consensus on fdle training being the hardest section matches what I'm seeing in my practice scores — going to put extra time there this week.
Quick update for this thread: just cleared 92% on my most recent FDLE practice set. The fdle - florida department of law enforcement florida law and statutes questions and answers has been my main resource and the difficulty feels right — not easy enough to give false confidence, not so hard it's discouraging. Sitting for the real thing in 3 weeks.
What helped me most with fdle training specifically: stop thinking about it as a topic to memorize and start thinking about the types of decisions it's asking you to make. Once I shifted to that frame, my FDLE scores in that section jumped about 10 points within a week.
