Finally passed ISA CAP after two attempts — here's what actually helped
So I just got my results back yesterday and I finally passed the ISA CAP exam on my second try. First attempt was back in February and I scored a 68 — close, but not close enough. Spent the next three months being way more intentional about my prep this time around.
The biggest game-changer for me was finding a solid ISA CAP practice test that actually matched the question style on the real exam. The official ISA study guide is dense and honestly kind of dry, but working through practice questions helped me figure out where my weak spots were. I was terrible on integrated pest management economics and the decision-making framework sections — stuff I completely glossed over the first time.
If anyone's just starting out, I'd say budget at least 8-10 weeks and don't skip the ethics and professionalism module even though it feels like common sense. It's worth more points than you'd expect. Happy to share more specific exam tips if anyone's preparing right now — this community helped me a lot when I was struggling so just paying it forward.
