How many weeks did you actually study for GPHR? Be honest

Looking for real answers here, not the "study for 3 months" advice that everyone gives.

I have 5 weeks before my scheduled GPHR - Global Professional in Human Resources exam date and I'm wondering if that's enough. I work full time so I can only do about 1-2 hours per night.

I've been focusing on "GPHR" and "GPHR - Global Professional in Human Resources" practice material. Made flashcards for the stuff I keep getting wrong and doing a full practice test every weekend.

My concern is whether I'm spreading too thin. Should I drop some topics and focus on the ones with the highest weight? What are the sections that actually show up the most?

What was your actual study timeline? Not what you'd recommend — what you actually did.

The free global professional in human resources gphr strategic global human resources helped me understand what the exam actually tests rather than just what the material covers.

I actually failed the first time by a few points. Total gut punch. But passed on the second attempt with a comfortable margin.

What changed: I stopped trying to memorize answers and started actually understanding the material. Specifically on GPHR exam — I went back to basics and worked forward from first principles.

Also switched from reading to doing. Less time with the textbook, more time on practice questions with detailed answer explanations.

You've got this. The second attempt is always better because you know exactly what the exam is like.

Same boat a few months ago. Here's what I'd tell myself:

The GPHR exam is more concept-focused than the study guides suggest. They test whether you understand GPHR, not just whether you can define it.

My tip: when you see a scenario question, mentally walk through it step by step before looking at the answers. The wrong answers are designed to catch people who jump to conclusions.

Good luck — the fact that you're doing this level of prep means you're going to be fine.

Quick update: just cleared 79% on my most recent GPHR practice set using gphr global employee relations. Sitting for the real thing in 4 weeks. Feeling cautiously optimistic.
