Everfi compliance modules for work — does HR actually see how long you spent on each section?

My company assigned 4 Everfi training modules for annual compliance certification covering harassment prevention, data privacy, ethics, and workplace safety. I've been clicking through them and I'm curious how closely it actually tracks engagement versus just completion. Some slides have a minimum time lock that holds the next button for 45 seconds, which I've noticed.

The content is decent — the harassment prevention module covers bystander scenarios I haven't seen in other compliance training. But the data privacy module is thin on practical guidance. It defines PII but doesn't cover what to do when you encounter it in an ambiguous situation, which is exactly when you'd need it.

I'm about 60% through the assigned modules and the section quizzes are straightforward if you actually read the material. I'm 4 for 4 on first-try passes, but some questions feel like they're testing whether you read one specific sentence rather than whether you understood the concept.

Has anyone had their Everfi completion data reviewed or flagged? My manager mentioned HR can see completion rates but I'm not sure how granular it is — whether it's just completed/not completed or whether they can see time per section.

The harassment prevention module is actually well-made compared to most compliance training. The bystander intervention scenarios are more realistic than the usual stuff. Whether people retain any of it is a different question, but the content quality is above average.

The reporting HR typically gets is completion status, date completed, and quiz scores — not time per slide. That's been the case at both companies I've used Everfi at. The minimum timers exist to meet legal safe harbor requirements for training hours, not to catch people skimming.

I've done Everfi modules at three employers and the pattern is always the same: HR cares that you finished by the deadline, not how long each section took. The exceptions are regulated roles in finance or healthcare where completion timestamps matter for audits.

The data privacy module being thin is a known issue with the off-the-shelf version. Most companies customize modules but many just use the default. If you have specific PII handling questions the module doesn't answer, your internal policy documents or legal team are going to be more useful.
