Just passed my COPR — here's what actually worked

Finally got my COPR certification after 14 weeks of prep. Wanted to share what made the difference for anyone still grinding.

I spent the first few weeks just reading the official material, but my scores weren't moving. The real turning point was switching to active practice. Every time I got a question wrong, I went back to find out exactly why — not just the right answer but the concept behind it. If you haven't tried it yet, the copra covers the material in a way that actually matches the real exam format.

For the copra section specifically, I recommend drilling it separately before mixing it into full-length tests. I also found copr test useful for the applied question types. The COPR exam rewards consistency over cramming. Three weeks before test day I was scoring 86% on practice sets — and I passed with 78% on the real thing.

Happy to answer questions. Don't give up — it's absolutely doable.

Good thread. One thing I'd add: don't try to cram the night before. I did 2 hours the night before my COPR and I think it hurt more than helped. Your brain needs consolidation time. Light review or full rest is better.

Same experience here. The copra was what finally made it click for me — specifically the way it explains the reasoning rather than just giving answers. Took me 2 weeks of consistent practice but scores went from 69% to 87% by exam day.

For anyone finding this thread later: the COPR is passable with consistent effort, even working full time. I studied 58 minutes a day for 9 weeks. The copra kept me honest about where my gaps were instead of just drilling things I already knew.

Appreciate everyone sharing their experience here. I'm 5 weeks out from my COPR exam date and feeling more confident after reading this. The consensus on copra being the hardest section matches what I'm seeing in my practice scores — going to put extra time there this week.
