Anyone else finding the EDPT math section brutal? Need advice

So I just got my test date scheduled for six weeks out and I'm honestly a little panicked. I scored around a 52 on my first EDPT practice test and from what I've read online you pretty much need a 71 or higher to qualify for most electronics programs. That's a huge gap to close in six weeks.

The verbal and mechanical reasoning parts felt manageable, but the math — especially the algebra and electrical circuit problems — absolutely wrecked me. I haven't touched that stuff since high school and it shows. I've been going through a study guide I found but it's pretty thin on the circuit theory side. Has anyone actually gone from a low 50s score up to the 70s range? I'd love to know how long you studied and what resources actually moved the needle for you.

Any EDPT exam tips from people who've been through this recently would be huge. Feeling like I'm staring at a mountain right now.

I was in almost the exact same spot last year — scored a 54 on my first practice run. What actually helped me was drilling Ohm's Law problems every single day for two weeks straight until it was automatic. I also found that Khan Academy's algebra refresher was way better than any paid study guide I tried. Ended up scoring a 74 on the real thing. Six weeks is enough time if you're consistent.

Honestly the circuit theory tripped me up too but I think people underestimate the verbal analogies section. I almost ignored it completely and nearly tanked my score there. Make sure your study guide covers all four sections equally. Also — and I can't stress this enough — do timed practice tests. The time pressure on the real EDPT is no joke, especially on the math portion.

52 to 71+ is totally doable in six weeks. I'd aim for at least one full EDPT practice test every weekend so you track your progress and get comfortable with the format. You'll probably see 8-10 points of improvement just from familiarity alone.
