So I passed the DP-600 last Tuesday and honestly I'm still a little shocked. Failed my first attempt back in March with a 672 — needed a 700 — and I pretty much panicked and overhauled my entire study approach. I'm a data engineer with about four years of experience but the Fabric-specific stuff caught me off guard the first time. I'd been too confident going in.
The second time around I spent six weeks being really methodical. I used the official Microsoft learning paths, but what actually moved the needle was grinding through a solid DP 600 practice test bank — doing like 20-30 questions a night and reviewing every wrong answer until I understood the why, not just the answer. Lakehouses, data pipelines, and DirectLake mode were all heavily tested for me.
Happy to share my full breakdown if anyone wants it. Also curious — is anyone else finding the study guide options kind of scattered? Felt like I had to piece together resources from five different places.
