Preparing for the BICSI CWA (Cabling Installation) exam. Have about 3 years of structured cabling experience — mostly commercial low-voltage. The exam guide covers an enormous amount of material. Currently working through the BICSI Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual.
The TDM is dense. Is there a more efficient way to study for the CWA beyond reading it cover to cover? Any particular sections that are weighted most heavily on the exam?

Don't try to read the TDM cover to cover — it's a reference manual, not a textbook. Use the exam content outline to identify which chapters correspond to each exam domain, then read those sections deeply and skim the rest.

The grounding and bonding, pathways and spaces, and fiber optic sections tend to have more exam questions than their page count suggests. Pay close attention to those.

BICSI has official practice exams and they're the most accurate prep available. The third-party practice tests online vary in quality significantly.
