I've been attempting CTET Paper 2 (social studies) for the past year and I keep landing in the 115-120 range when I need at least 150 to qualify. It's honestly demoralizing at this point. I've gone through NCERT textbooks cover to cover, I've watched countless YouTube lectures, but something isn't clicking — especially in Child Development & Pedagogy, which kills my score every single time.
A friend suggested I shift my strategy toward more CTET practice test sessions instead of passive reading, which honestly I hadn't been doing enough of. I started tracking my weak areas and realized I'm consistently dropping points on learning theories (Vygotsky, Piaget) and inclusive education questions. Has anyone else been in this situation? Did switching to a more practice-focused approach actually help you cross that 150 mark?
I'm targeting the July attempt and I have about 10 weeks left. Looking for a solid study guide recommendation and any exam tips from people who've cleared it, especially Paper 2 candidates. What's your weekly study routine like?
