So I've been at this BSCS certification for almost a year now and honestly I was starting to wonder if it was worth continuing. My first attempt I scored a 68% (needed 75%) and thought I just needed a little more prep. Second attempt, same story — 71%. Close but not close enough, and I'd sunk a lot of time into it at that point.
What changed for my third attempt was actually stumbling onto a decent BSCS practice test that was structured like the real thing, not just random trivia. I also finally broke down and got a proper study guide instead of just reading through the official materials. The combo of those two things helped me identify that computer organization and data structures were killing me — I'd been over-studying theory and under-practicing application questions.
Passed with an 81% last month. If anyone else is stuck on the same exam, I'm happy to share what resources and exam tips actually moved the needle for me. What are you all using to prep?
