Failed BPP exam twice — what am I missing in my prep?

So I've now failed the BPP exam twice and I'm honestly starting to lose confidence. First attempt I scored a 67, needed a 70. Second attempt I bumped it to a 68 — closer, but still not there. I've been using a BPP practice test site I found online and running through maybe 20-30 questions a night after work, but something clearly isn't clicking.

My weakest areas seem to be the applied knowledge sections — the scenario-based questions where they describe a workplace situation and you have to pick the best course of action. I feel like I understand the concepts in isolation but freeze when they're wrapped in context. Anyone else had this problem? I'm wondering if I need a totally different study guide rather than just hammering more practice questions.

I'm giving myself 8 weeks before attempt three. Would love to hear from people who've passed — especially what finally made it click for you. Any specific exam tips or resources that actually moved the needle?

The scenario questions tripped me up too. What helped me was reading the answer explanations for every question I got wrong — not just noting it and moving on. There's usually a logic pattern to how BPP frames those workplace situations, and once you internalize it, you start seeing it everywhere. Took me about three weeks of doing that before my practice scores jumped consistently into the mid-70s.

Eight weeks is plenty of time, don't stress. I passed on my third try too. The jump from 68 to passing felt impossible until it suddenly wasn't. Keep grinding those scenario questions and trust the process.

Honestly the study guide I was using the first time was way too surface-level. I switched to one that had more in-depth rationale sections and it made a huge difference. Also — are you timing yourself during practice? I wasn't, and the actual exam pacing completely threw me off. I'd recommend simulating real test conditions at least twice a week leading up to your attempt.
