Anyone else struggling with the BMW X5 certification? Need study tips

So I've been prepping for my BMW X5 certification for the past three weeks and honestly I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed. I work at a dealership in Ohio and my service manager basically gave me a deadline of end of June to get this done. The problem is finding quality materials — most of what I've found online is either too generic or just flat-out outdated.

I picked up a BMW X5 practice test from a test prep site last week which helped me identify my weak spots (turns out air suspension diagnostics and the xDrive system are my nemesis). I'm scoring around 67% on practice sets right now and I need to hit at least 80% to pass. Has anyone gone through this recently? Curious how long you actually spent studying and what resources made the biggest difference.

I'm committing about 45 minutes each night but with a toddler at home that's easier said than done. Any BMW X5 exam tips from people who've actually passed would be seriously appreciated right now.

I passed mine back in February after about four weeks of prep. Honestly the BMW X5 study guide from the official BMWNA portal was way more useful than I expected — especially the sections on ADAS calibration and engine management. My weak area was also xDrive but once I actually got under a couple of cars and traced the components manually it started clicking. Don't just read, get hands-on if you can. I went from 65% to 84% in about ten days once I did that.

67% isn't bad for three weeks out, you've got time. What helped me most was doing timed practice sets rather than just reading through material. When you have a time limit the questions hit differently and you stop second-guessing yourself so much. Also — are you covering the electrical diagnosis section? That tripped up like half the guys at my shop. The fault code trees on X5 are surprisingly specific and they love testing those on the actual exam.

45 minutes a night is plenty honestly. I passed with less study time than that but I was really focused — no phone, notes open. Good luck with the deadline, you've got this.
