Failed CLF-C02 twice — what am I missing in my study approach?

So I've now failed the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam twice and I'm honestly at a loss. First attempt I got a 682 (passing is 700), second attempt a 694 — I'm SO close but can't crack it. I've been using a popular video course and reading through the official documentation, but I think I'm missing something in how I'm actually retaining the material.

The areas killing me are cloud concepts and the shared responsibility model — I keep second-guessing myself on the boundary questions. A friend suggested I shift more time toward hands-on practice questions rather than passive video watching, so I picked up an AWS Practice Test and it's been eye-opening how differently the questions are framed compared to what I expected. My exam is rescheduled for three weeks out.

Has anyone been in this exact situation? What finally clicked for you? I'm putting in about 1.5 hours a day and I feel like I need a better AWS - Amazon Web Services study guide or a smarter structure to my sessions. Any advice genuinely appreciated.

Honestly the shared responsibility model tripped me up too until I started thinking about it in terms of apartments vs. houses. AWS is the landlord — they maintain the building, the plumbing, the roof. You're the tenant — you're responsible for what's inside your unit. Locks on your door, your data, your apps. Once I had that mental model, those questions became almost automatic. What score are you typically hitting on practice tests right now?

I was in almost the exact same spot — failed once at 688, then passed at 756 on attempt three. What changed for me was drilling practice questions BEFORE reviewing content, not after. The gaps you find in practice actually tell you what to go study. Also, for the shared responsibility model, just memorize: AWS owns the hardware, YOU own everything you put on it. Simple but it finally stuck that way for me.

Three weeks is plenty of time if you stay consistent. Check out the FREE AWS Cloud Practitioner General Questions and Answers — I used those the week before my exam just to keep the volume up without burning out. You're clearly close. Don't overthink it.
