Anyone else studying for CPL in the next month? Want to study together
Taking my (CPL) Commercial Pilot Licence exam in 5 weeks and trying to find people at a similar stage to keep each other accountable.
I study better when I have someone to compare notes with. Currently going through "cpl 2025" and working on my weak areas — specifically around cpl schedule.
My schedule: 90 min of focused study every weekday, full practice test on weekends. I review every wrong answer and try to understand the why, not just memorize the right option.
If you're in a similar prep window and want to:
- Compare practice test scores weekly
- Share resources that actually helped
- Talk through confusing questions
Reply here or message me. Doesn't have to be formal — even just checking in once a week helps me stay on track.
Where is everyone at in their prep?
The honest answer is: it depends a lot on your background.
If you're already working in this field, the CPL exam is testing knowledge you probably use daily. The "cpl 2025" sections will feel familiar.
If you're coming in from outside, give yourself an extra 2 weeks and really focus on the practical application questions.
The practice tests here are worth doing repeatedly — I did the same test bank multiple times and found new questions I'd missed each time.
Same boat a few months ago. Here's what I'd tell myself:
The CPL exam is more application-focused than the study guides suggest. They test whether you understand cpl 2025, not just whether you can define it.
My tip: when you see a scenario question, mentally walk through it step by step before looking at the answers. The wrong answers are designed to catch people who jump to conclusions.
Good luck — the fact that you're doing this level of prep means you're going to be fine.
